Winter 2023 Newsletter

Good afternoon!

Thanks to those who attended or provided absentee/proxy for the meeting on Sunday.

Annual dues will continue at $125/year. Invoices will go out in March.

Your new officers for the next year are VP - Lou Pfingst, Treasurer - Mike Taylor, Secretary - Carole Mears. Mike and Carole graciously agreed to another term. Thank you to Lou for raising your hand.

You may have noticed there is no President. We were unable to fill the position at the meeting. So we are counting on you, the residents of CoG, to volunteer or nominate a Member (defined as an Owner in good standing), to serve as President.  What are the duties of the President?  Glad you asked. Preside over meetings and authorized to sign contracts in accordance with our By-Laws. Time commitment? About 2 hours/quarter.  Won't you please participate to enable our community to keep moving forward in a positive direction?

The committees were finalized in accordance with the By-Laws. (v indicates a volunteer, others are random draws per the By-Laws).  Term runs through July and duties are described in the By-Laws.

Architectural Review Board (ARB) - Bob Smith (v), Lou Pfingst (v), Sharon Wilson (v), Janice Cline (v), Michael Thomas, and alternate Sumner household.

Social: Sue Barnes, Diana Beck, and Murdaugh household.

Maintenance: Cindy Pfingst (v), Dunbar/Fail household, Ford household, and Carole Mears.

Finance: Zamichiei household, Edwards household, and Lyons household.

Did you know you can access both the By-Laws and Restrictive Covenants, as well as other good info on our website?

We are interested in your ideas for future improvements.  Also, we'd love to have a Spring Fling social.  What appeals to you? A BBQ? Cookout? Let us know and we'll do our best to make it happen!

As always, you can contact us at cottagesofgahagan@gmail.com, or via the website.

Thank you for your time and participation!

On behalf of the CoG HOA officers,

Sharon Wilson
